GB Ultras have reported a new 100 mile record at their most recent event the Yr Wyddfa Snowdon Ultra.

Sean Wylie (GBR) finished the 100-mile race at 01:47am late last night to set a NEW Course Record on the Yr Wyddfa Ultra 100-mile of 19:47:11. Sean took close to 5 hours off the previous record set by Harry Firth (GBR) in 2025 of 24:38:56.

The 158km race took place this weekend, taking in over 5000m of elevation around the Snowdonia national park including the peaks of Castell y Gwynt, Garnedd Ugain, Yr Wydffa, and Crib Goch.

The race aligns with their 50-mile event, in which Dan Treby took first place in 8:43:30. Andrew Salt took second (9:21:08) and Pawel Pietak rounded out the podium with 9:37:50.

The women’s race saw more exceptional performances with Ellie-Rose Merriman taking first with 11:37:04, Eleanor Lambert coming second with 12:19:55 and third place going to Cheryl Mort (13:07:59).
